Somatic Dance for Women
A space for free movement where you connect with yourself through the body. The focus is on perception, expression, and whatever wants to show itself in the moment. It is not about how something looks, but how it feels.
Who is this for?
This offering is for you if you:
- want to get out of your head and more into your body
- want to give space to feelings that have had little room for expression
- want to move freely without being judged
- want to experience yourself through movement rather than thinking
- are looking for a protected space among women
- want to release tension or held energy in the body
- want to connect with other women
- are open to new experiences
What is Somatic Dance?
Somatic Dance is a form of movement guided by the body’s inner sensations. Movements arise from feeling, from breath, and from what is present in the moment.
The practice can support you to:
- release physical and emotional tension
- deepen contact with your body
- process experiences through movement
- experience more aliveness and freedom of movement
Workshop flow
Movement is accompanied by the five elements:
- Water: flow, softness, emotional release
- Earth: stability, support, boundaries
- Fire: strength, expression, energy
- Air: lightness, breath, openness
- Ether: presence, connection, stillness
The different qualities invite you to explore different sides of yourself.
